The website is run by a team of three trained and polyglot researchers, doctors in historical sciences, teaching in the French University and authors of several books and scientific papers, and an experienced computer specialist.

The text presented on are the result of extensive researchs, conducted in various libraries and archives in Europe. Concerned to ensure the widest access to historical knowledge, the authors seek to produce texts that are clear, succinct and accurate at the same time, illustrated by a chosen iconography, partly unpublished.

Dedicated to a task of popularization in the noblest sense of the term, also intend to be progressive and interactive. The additional informations, questions, suggestions and criticisms of the visitors are welcome and will benefit careful consideration from of our research team.

In addition, site news (news, current research ...) will be regularly presented on a dedicated page. site is placed under the patronage of the Malaspina Foundation, dedicated to historical research, knowledge sharing and cultural exchanges about the Italian feudal families of the Holy Empire. It is specifically dedicated to the Obertenghi (families coming from Oberto, Count Palatine in the tenth century) in general and the Malaspina in particular.The Foundation results from the initiative of an entrepreneur, resident in Luxembourg, descendant of the branch of the Malaspina of Corsica and of the cousin House of the Margraves of Massa-Corsica, arrived on the island in the eleventh century.
